Understanding Transmission of Influenza Viruses in Asia Dr. Hui-Ling Yen
Dr. Yen's purpose is to evaluate the rate of transmission efficiency of influenza viruses via aerosols or droplets of different particle sizes, both in the laboratory and in the field. Understanding the significance of different modes of transmission is critical in developing effective control measures for influenza. Her results will help reduce the life risk of influenza under epidemic or pandemic settings.
