AXA Chair on the economics of risk and information

How do private information and individual preferences affect the scope of cooperation in uncertain environments? This question is central to many applied economic problems involving risk, from the behavior of depositors in the face of a bank run risk to the stability of monetary unions, or to the long‐term relationship of stakeholders in an insurance contract affected by adverse selection and moral hazard. This involves a combination of research focused on specific applications and research on more general and theoretical analyses.
The objective of Prof. Horner is the creation and dissemination of knowledge to identify, in order to regulate and manage this kind of situation and contribute to an ambitious research.
