Campus of Innovation for High Schools: Empowering the Next Generation Through Knowledge and Innovation
At present, many young people are left behind by the rapid changes brought about by innovation and technology. In partnership with the Collège de France and the Ministry of Education and Research, the Campus of Innovation for High Schools program led by Philippe Aghion is an ambitious initiative aimed at empowering younger generation —particularly those in disadvantaged urban and rural areas—by equipping them with the tools to succeed academically, professionally, and socially in an ever-changing world.
The Campus of Innovation for High Schools introduces high school students to essential concepts in economics—such as growth, innovation, inequality, finance, and risk—while also expanding into other critical fields like mathematics, history, chemistry, biology, and computer science. These disciplines are vital for understanding the world of innovation and new technologies, as well as for inspiring creativity, entrepreneurship, and informed decision-making.
The overall ambition of this initiative is to address exclusion of the younger generation in the new economy and support their growth them by providing digital resources alongside in-person lectures while encouraging ongoing interaction and engagement to make learning more dynamic and accessible for both students and teachers. By encouraging curiosity, boldness, and an innovative mindset, the project aims to leverage modern educational tools and technologies to introduce high school students with fundamental notions, concepts, and mechanisms in economics.
Through the support of the AXA Research Fund, this project aligns with a shared commitment to advancing education, reducing inequalities, and preparing the next generation to navigate the challenges and opportunities of the modern world.
