We are thrilled to announce that the AXA Research Fund is entering a transformative new chapter as it becomes an integral part of the newly launched AXA Foundation for Human Progress. Officially unveiled on June 30th, 2025, in celebration of AXA’s 40th anniversary, this foundation represents a bold step forward in consolidating AXA’s global philanthropic initiatives.
Endowed with an annual budget of €60 million, the AXA Foundation for Human Progress unites the key philanthropic efforts of the AXA Group and AXA Mutuelles d’Assurances in France, building on four decades of impactful contributions. As part of this development, the AXA Research Fund will continue its mission to support groundbreaking research, now as a cornerstone of the foundation’s science pillar.
This evolution underscores AXA’s commitment to advancing science and fostering innovation while expanding its support for initiatives in environmental protection, solidarity and inclusion, education, and art and culture. By leveraging interdisciplinarity, the foundation aims to amplify its philanthropic impact as a structured extension of AXA’s mission to advance human progress.
During this transition period, the next calls for projects will be announced through our regular channels.
Stay tuned for more updates as we embark on this exciting new journey together.
