The masterclass in 3 main chapters

Chapter 1

The hidden risks of AI

| Video

AI was first conceived in the 1950s, but it is only in recent years that its true potential has emerged, and it is now shaping our world. Beyond generative AI, it leverages machine learning, statistics, and logic to generate content, predictions, and decisions that interact with their environment, all guided by human-defined objectives.

But remember, for every opportunity AI can offer, there can also be a risk.

Chapter 2

How AI is threatening politics, economy and society

| Video

In 2024 and 2025, the World Economic Forum ranked adverse outcomes of AI technologies, including misinformation and disinformation, among the worst global threats in the short and medium term.

Beyond all those risks, we must also acknowledge AI’s significant impact on both the economy and healthcare—transforming industries, reshaping jobs, and influencing the way care is delivered.

Chapter 3

The road to safer AI

| Video

AI offers immense opportunities, but its risks are just as significant. Evolving and unpredictable, they can become harmful if not properly managed. From manipulation to misuse and even weaponization, AI has shown its potential dangers. But should we fear it or can we act—at individual, organizational, and governmental levels—to ensure AI remains safe and secure?

From the EU AI Act to global research initiatives and industry-led safeguards, multiple efforts are already underway to build a framework for trustworthy and responsible AI.
