Living with Disaster: Qualitative Characterization of Risk
Understanding risk from natural hazards and within different geographical contexts is not only a knowledge problem: it is also a communication challenge. Better informed communities living in hazardous areas will be more resilient. Artist and filmmaker Prof. Kerlow works on a multimedia scenario showcasing the experiences of inhabitants of several cities located in multiple continents throughout the centuries. He will highlight the importance of proactive preparedness in the face of disaster.
