Levering Knowledge Gaps To Understand And Anticipate Risk From Methylmercury Exposure
This project from Former AXA Fellow explored mercury exposure in the Arctic, a region highly vulnerable to contamination, serving as a model for global exposure pathways. It included Arctic expeditions on the icebreaker Polarstem, sharing experiences through public photo exhibitions, movies, and seminars in France and port cities along the Mediterranean coast. The campaign aimed to raise awareness about mercury risks from fish consumption, offering simple, individual mercury exposure tests via hair analysis.
Results will be shared online, targeting over 500 people directly and reaching more than 5,000 through social media, with the goal of promoting safer fish consumption and environmental awareness.
